@ Michael McGinn- My two cents: I think that it is great that Cascadia CC wants to start it’s own paper, Bellevue College has one that is outstanding. (Although “Jibsheet” sounds to me like something that you would use to wipe up with after sex) But with a combined campus and many shared interests/concerns it seems to me that a combined UWB/Cascadia effort may be beneficial to both. Look to the local “Reporter” series of newspapers as a guide for shared content. (Kenmore Reporter, Bothell Reporter, Kirkland Reporter, etc.) Just a thought.

Looking forward to 2010-2011.
I am the new Cascadia Communications Liaison and would like to work with your staff to keep our students updated on events open to Cascadia Community College Students.
We may also have a student run newspaper for Cascadia Community College for 2010-2011.
The project is in the development stages at this point. We will be running a student club fair shortly after Fall qtr. starts and will be getting feed back from students on the interest of a student run newspaper.
Do you accept news stories from Cascadia Community College students?

I am not sure if the photo accompanying this article is a “stock” photo or was taken by a local photographer but the picture is spectacular. Looking forward to reading the Husky Herald in the fall.
