With my uncle and aunt in Honolulu, my brother in Maui, and my in-laws living in Hilo – yes, right there on Hilo Bay directly in the path of the tsunami – we were on the phone, email, and Facebook for half the day. Honolulu and Hilo relatives evacuated. Fortunately, it turned out to be a non-event and everyone is fine. Easy to shrug it off now, but all agreed that its better to be safe than sorry. Sending all good thoughts to Chile – awful devastation.
