Dr. David Mitsuo Nixon is one of seven members of the Seattle performance group/band, “Awesome”, which just celebrated their sixth anniversary. There will be a series of shows at the iDiOM Theatre in Bellingham February 25-27, admission is $10. During this time, “Awesome” will perform some of their work from their stage production West. For those of you who can’t make it to Bellingham, but are interested in seeing “Awesome”, West will be performed in April at On the Boards in Seattle. David plays banjo, guitar, and does some dancing during these performances. He is also a visual artist and one of the founders of an improvisational music website, kunjabunja.com/. David currently teaches at the University of Washington Bothell campus. Here is my interview:
